106 Wheelchairs on Ice

There's something very strange about this, but I'm not sure if I'm bothered more by the people enjoying flinging people in wheelchairs on the ice or by making grown men cry because they can't ice skate anymore.

Good news!! There is a weekly wheelchair ice-skating Thursdays at 11:00. I don't know if I want to go or not.

that's great! when i worked afternoons at the nursing home (never coulda done it on days) i used to ask people i was pushing in wheelchairs, jokingly, do you wanna do a wheelie? most laughed and they would always say NO! one day this cute little old lady with a great sense of humor (and adventure too) said yes. so i pulled the chair up on its back wheels an took her a quick ride down the hall. we both laughed and giggled like kids! i didn't do it anymore after that, but that is a very fond memory of making a sweet lady happy.

This ridiculously dangerous activity with people unable to fend for themselves from a country that outlawed blowing one's nose in fear they may eject their brains as well!
