This has probably been covered before, there was an offering by Chrysler, IIRC, of a record player that fit under the dash as an option for car buyers. I've seen both single and stack feed players. The only problem was that records would wear out quickly because the mechanism would hold the stylus against the vinyl to guard against skipping. There weren't too many buyers who bought the option.

Bill Lear's development of the eight track tape player in 1964 made the record player idea obsolete.
