Best I ever saw was on the front, just below and a bit to the side of the belly button. There was an angled arrow point down from a sign that read "Fresh Meat".
Some of those tattoos have just been done. You can tell by the redness around the work. Some look a bit like temporary jobs.

Ooooh the tramp stamp. I'm a tattoo artist and I'd say more than 50% of the pieces I put on my female clients are on the lower back. One girl wanted a pink lace thong tattooed on. No lie. Just on her butt...didn't want it to wrap around like a real pair of undies...because she can't get her thongs to stay as high up as she likes. Um.

Patty - you are NEVER too old! I just put a nice little piece on a friend of mine's upper breast last night (a couple of pansy blossoms) and she just turned 60!
Paul - male tramp stamps are less common in the straight community, but in the gay community they have become popular (though not yet competing with the seemingly endless stream of teen girls). For obvious reasons. Also popular amongst discerning men looking to accentuate a bodily feature (and I think as ridiculous as a tramp stamp on girls) is what I call the cock stamp - a design (usually "manly") right on the pelvic bone above the start of his junk - which are usually shaved, also to accentuate size/length. Like women who do facial contouring with makeup, men like designs that will visually elongate a feature - lightning bolts, wings, etc. But, in my experience, these guys are the same as those with big long sports cars - it's always compensating for something!!

I don't think that "tramp stamps" are necessarily distasteful or a sign of promiscuity or at least I hope not. I personally love tattoos and have several, none that I'd consider the male equivalent of the "tramp stamp" though.
Those were some pretty funny tattoos though.

Well, I got my lower back tattoo quite a while ago (pre-tramp stamp but not by much) and decided to expand into a nearly full back piece...mostly because I didn't want people to think it was another tramp stamp!! Sadly, the lower back is one of the most beautiful parts of the female body and is thus a terrific place for a tattoo. Of course, most of these tramp stampers do it so whoever is behind them has something to look at during sex. Seriously, that's what they tell me! As I tell all my clients, "if you're not getting a piece for yourself, then I won't put it on you." Yes, I lose business that way but I at least get to keep my principles!
Anyway, sluts like to advertise any which way they can - after tramp stamps it'll be something else.

Good for you! I never understood the getting a tattoo just to get one mentality. I've been asked about why all my tattoos are in places that you can't normally see (except when I wear shorts) and my answer is always that I didn't get tattoos for other people to look at, they're for me.
I've always thought about getting a full back piece and will eventually, but that's a little ways down the road.
