Geez, if the cops ever yell "Drop your weapons!", there's going to be one hell of a clatter!

For some people one of something is just not enough. Every once in a while is a story of the eccentric collector crushed to death by their collection of "things" falling on them. I do have to admit my music CD collection might get me one day.

For me, it's DVDs. I stopped counting after 2,000. Mostly movies of the 30s and 40s (I love me a good comedy murder mystery).

Abbott and Costello meet... I love those.
Do you remember one called 10 Little Indians or another The Spiral Staircase. Old murder mysteries they played for us on movie days in middle school. Great movies!

@Patty -- Both of those movies have remakes with the same name. If you get a chance, watch "And Then There Were None" (1945) -- it's Agatha Christie's 'Ten Little Indians' with Barry Fitzgerald and Walter Huston. Also make a note to catch "The Mad Miss Manton" (1938) with Henry Fonda -- semi-zany little romantic comedy; only two murders, but it keeps a good pace.

And Then There Were None may be the one I am thinking of actually sweetie. The island and the judge right?

The YaHoo link didn't work for me so here's one I found that does: Click Here

This is a Liberal's hay-day!! One paragraph the guy's a hoarder the next he's the chief supplier for the whole East Coast! And they even got to weave in the San Bernardino shootings that took place 3,000+ miles away!!

Thanks for the link update Expat. Yahoo has dropped the story.

@Patty -- offhand, I don't remember which ones were set on islands and which were on a mountaintop. They all have the judge, because he's in the novel. Another great comedy murder mystery: 'The Mystery of Mr. X' (1934) -- Robert Montgomery as a jewel thief suspected of being a serial cop killer. Very warm and very funny.

1934, my mom was just one year old then. Cool old movies.

I would suggest "The Thin Man" with William Powell and Myrna Loy.
