Richard Reese Whittemore, the Candy Kid, was a bank robber, murderer and general all-round bad guy, and Margaret Whittemore, the Tiger Girl, was his moll and/or wife.

Convicted in May, condemned in June, and hanged in August. What country has such a swift justice system?

(p.s. I'm actually a foe of the death penalty.)

It was a simpler time. I guessed tightrope walkers. Surprising they aren't better known, like Bonnie and Clyde.
