The National Film Board is a treasure trove of short subjects. Towards the end of this selection I was reminded of some of Salvador Dali's works, most notably "The Persistence of Memory."

Thanks for that, KDP. I have a souvenir showing " The Disintegration of the Persistence of Memory" that I got at the Salvador Dalí Museum in St. Petersburg, Fla. The upper part of this painting is reproduced on the face of a working clock. (Well, of course.)

This museum is astonishing and worth a trip by itself, IMHO. Sorry, we were pushed out after closing time, so I wasn't able to work out what it's doing in St. Petersburg.

I love the animated films from the National Film Board of Canada. One of my favorites is “The Cat Came Back.” Highly recommend.
