Misogynist humor from the good old days.

I wouldn't call it mysogynist. I think it's pretty factual that after marriage, women put on a few pounds and men grow a beard (or slack off in some other area of hygine). It just seems mysogynist because there isn't a book with the beard joke. Women just weren't allowed to write books back then.
