Anty Gin

We have explored the idea of eating insects here on WU. Well, how about drinking them? Anty Gin is gin infused with the essence of wood ants. So, wood alcohol bad, wood ant alcohol good(?).

Not to be confused with a worm.

Yeah, I always thought that was gross too. Never understood why they put a worm in tequila ( to-kill-ya).

And the formic acid kills E. coli bacteria.

@Patty: At one time tequila was such that it could/would kill you and the worm provided some chemical catalyst that made the drink safe. I believe it was all, carefully, explained in Frank Herbert's Dune series.

Once in a simpler time there were only three kind of hard liquor. Rot gut (very bad), but cheap. Ok stuff and the expensive kind. Quality was more often determined by price. Now there are any number of flavored Gins, vodkas, tequila, whisky and on. And weird fruit flavored beer and mixed drinks in the can with added sugar. And now wood alcohol usually made out in the hollow, tax free till you were caught. Now flavored with dead ants? Must be for the urban hillbilly crowd. I will take my Gin straight, with tonic and a lime, thank you, for the malaria you know, I got in the great war while serving in the orient saving the old empire from the commie hordes.

I will stick with finishing off my liver with blended Canadian whiskey. You have your choice of wines, gold rum, and vodka tomorrow when you get here to visit for the holiday weekend. See you soon and subby too. "Eat your heart out" WUvians who would love you to visit them.
