I'm formally a day late with this entry--but yet, the Apollo 11 astronauts were still on the Moon 51 years ago today! Eating their ham-salad sandwiches.

Back then, you would have scoffed if someone had said we wouldn't be going back for over 50 years, after such a relentless build-up to the landing by NASA. At this rate, it's going to take a long time to discover the monolith at the crater Tycho. We were supposed to be following its information back in 2001.

The monolith -- it's not like it's on a timer; it's light-activated. Plenty of time to uncover it when we finally figure out the ending.
