So just how many 4'x8' sheets of the stuff did you have to inhale before you died?

Wait till the find out just exactly what lithium does has done to you.

As long as it stays in place asbestos is very good for the purpose of fire retardant. Unfortunately that isn't always the case.

Workers in Asbestos, Quebec, Canada, back in the day, before anyone realized how dangerous the stuff was, used to wet wads of it, and throw them like snowballs at each other, for a lark. (So I was told from a former employee there.)

As I recall, which doesn't always mean much anymore, there are six different minerals that are called "asbestos", with two different molecular structures. Something like 97% of the asbestos used was not the really dangerous kind, but OH LORD if you find out there's an asbestos molecule in the house it becomes a superfund site.

Afterthought: The houses were primarily built of asbestos in Bradbury's "Fahrenheit 451."

If it is the dangerous kind of asbestos God help you because mesothelioma is a horrible way to die.
