Considering that a kilo equals 2.2 pounds even at $10/kilo you are still only paying $4.55/lb. And at $7/kilo it is only $3.19/lb. We pay more than $3.19/lb for the cheap stuff now. The "good stuff" already costs as much as $6.50/lb or more. If it gets much higher for even the cheap stuff I won't be able to afford to make my onion & bacon spaghetti sauce. It takes 3lb of bacon for a 4 quart batch.
