Bloody Auction

The family of Ronald Reagan is quite upset by the recent announcement that a vial containing the blood of the former president of the United States will be auctioned off. The owner of the vial claims it was given to his mother by the lab where she worked at in 1981. Just think, a bunch of conservatives could pool their money and have the Gipper cloned.

Not from blood, they won't. Red blood cells don't have nuclei, and therefore don't have any DNA.

I'm reminded of stories associated with religious cultures of vials of saint's blood that turns from dry solid to liquid periodically. Has Reagan been canonized recently?

@Eric: Around here we don't poo-poo something just because it is scientifically impossible by today's standards. We have hope for tomorrow.

BTW, 212 days to go until the mother ship returns.
