boring vampires

To be a vampire in America is pretty boring
The "Atlanta Vampire Alliance and its research arm, Suscitatio Enterprises LLC, have been working for two years to collect useful data on the community," reports the Washington Post, and 700 have come forward. (Story spoilers: Many are "psychic" vampires, sucking only "energy" from others, and the "sanguinarian" vampires don't really drink a lot of blood. And "good" vampires operate under the code of the Black Veil, which requires only willing donors. A few sleep in coffins, but only because they're personally into that.) Wait till the Japs invent "True Blood"! Then the REAL vampires will be coming out of the coffins (so to speak).

For the record, "True Blood" is from a series of books by Charlaine Harris that was recently made into a TV show.

Google wants me to take a quiz to find out if I'm a vampire. While I admit I'm pale enough to qualify and would sleep all day long if I could, I think I'll pass 😊

My first wife was a Vampire. "First Wife" from the Greek " A Vampire who drains every last dollar one has".

For the love of Bram, people! Get over it and try to live a normal life. I blame Anne Rice for this situation (and countless others which may only be Anne-Rice-related in my mind.)

You know, I just realize I (perhaps unjustly) blame Anne Geddes for a lot of things in my life, too. I may be an anti-Annist... or just schizophrenic.

Something else Hollywood has effed up!! They have everybody thinking the life (or non-life?) of a vampire was exciting. Who would've thought that it's really just pretty f#$king sad and pitiful? 😕
