I'm sure that is the voice of "Rock Around The Clock", although I can't pin it down definitely.

HERE you go KDP!
Bill Haley had a lot of bands but most remember the Comets! The clip is from American Bandstand 1960 Dick Clark was young!

I'm finding the same thing KDP. I'm 99 & 94/100's sure it's the same guy. He's got a list of Western songs under his belt and Rock-a-Billy came from that direction.

I just ran into some other stuff and I'm SURE this is the same guy that sang with The Comets.

I just sent a request to WSM to confirm but I'm 100% sure it's the same dude.

Oh, definitely the roots of Rock and Roll are there in Western styled music. I did come across a Bill Haley with a lot of work in Western and the face is consistent so I conclude that this is the same man.

Most anyone you ask would probably reply that Haley came from "nowhere" with the "Rock Around The Clock" hit.

This says nothing about Mama, or Trains, or Trucks, or Prison, or Getting Drunk!
The Perfect Country Western Song was finally embodied in David Allen Coe's lyrics:
Well, I was drunk the day my Mom got outta prison.
And I went to pick her up in the rain.
But, before I could get to the station in my pickup truck
She got runned over by a damned old train.

If you play a country song backwards the guy gets his wife, kids, and truck back!

@ Patty:
Plus you here an eerie voice intoning: "Here, hold my beer, I wanna show you something."
