Capybara

Capybaras are the world's largest rodents, they can get up to 4ft3in and 140lb. Capybaras are even kept as pet. The first link is the wiki article with the animal stats, the second link is about a capybara named Caplin Rous who is a well loved pet.

i don't think i could interact with a giant rodent, no matter how docile and domesticated it was. :gulp:

I saw one at a zoo a few weeks ago. It reminded me and my wife of the ROUS (Rodents of unusual size) from the Princess Bride

okay(armed with info from wikki) mice and rats belong to the rodentia order and muridae family. the viscacha and capybara belong to the rodentia order as well but differ from mice and rats and eachother in family classification. viscacha the chinchillidae family and capybara the caviidae family. rabbits, on the other hand, belong to the order lagomorpha and the family leporidae. so rabbits aren't related th rodents, which is what i believed till i just now looked it up.
