Careers for Christian Youth

My pal Ed Morris sent me this 1956 book. Was there ever such an innocent time? The text is quite reasonable and sensible and not overly evangelical, so I could not really find any silly passages to scan. The dreamy cover will have to suffice.

It could be a ham radio. As a matter of fact, it's pink, and if you squint, a case could be made for it to be a real ham radio. Just a thought.

I see they include a pulpit and a movie camera. Those two go together for the most lucrative of all jobs...the television evangelist. Amen.

Pink thingie has keys on it, is on the girl's side of the cover so has got to be one of those traditionally female office tools that God would be shocked to see a male using.

It finally dawned on me who the guy on the cover resembles...a young George W. So the book must be true, good little christians can grow up to be president.
