Chicken-flavored vegetarian ham

I have a hunch this doesn't taste anything like chicken, ham, or chicken-flavored ham. Product details at lamyong.com.au.

@Shannon, I don't know if anyone has told you but Expat is one of a small secretive band of the most respected (and respectful!) WUvians!
They are known as the MODERATORS! If he had been in the mood and found your comments out of bounds they'd be gone. As to he or Richard being bullies, No, I reject that. He's one of the nicest old salts I've Never met!

Than why insult me the way you did. And by the way, you proved nothing to me. You just sprouted off a whole lot of dispute able stuff without even any academic reference. If your going to debate on any plausible level, debate with the purpose of convincing the other person of the validity of your argument. That does not include insults. If that is your teaching method, you failed. How did your attempt to "try to help me live longer" work? It did'nt. You just got me pissed off and defiant.

Well Shannon, I bet you are an omnivore. If you eat Jello or any geletin product, it comes from animal collagen. Tomatoe juice can have "SOME" insect parts per litre. ETC.
Also, most mammilian herbivores eat their calves placenta.

So, follow this post for a while. About the only things that are tabou are racism and religion. Everything else is fair game for an argument.

Shannon, you also spouted off a bunch of disputable stuff that was sited from an obviously skewed source. No one here cares what you do and you can not be bullied if you have the freedom to leave at any point. We have fun here for the most part but we also debate and defend our own views. None of it is meant to be truly insulting. So how about we just agree to disagree? No one needs to be pissed off. Just move on. BTW, Expat is a sweet person and much loved here.

Chicken flavored... fake ham? Why don't they just adjust it a smidge and call it fake chicken?

Seems to me I recall from elementary school, that our intestinal system runs about four times our length (unless we've since discovered some heretofore unknown intestines), so between that and having teeth to handle pretty much anything, I have to be suspicious of that doctor and his information. Now, meat does go better cooked, and doesn't putrify in the day or so it's in there. I sure wouldn't just grab one of my ducks and start gnawing on it.

Another consideration: the brain is composed largely of... cholesterol, so it's indeed important, but from what I understand currently, dietary cholesterol is largely irrelevant and goes straight through. If you want to talk fat, look at nuts particularly, but some of the other things from which oil is extracted, like corn. Oh, and what the heck are pulses? My browser has tied its shoes together again, or I'd go look.

I would have been happy to debate it in a sensible fashion, hell I'd have even conceded if I felt you had proved a point. Isn't that what healthy debate results in? Please tell me what part of healthy debate involves your sweet, much loved person calling me "a moron", and telling me I'm ignorant, lack education, and "have a massive over-estimation of both your brain power and your morals". How about I'm a "failed hippy" and I "should go back to the 1960's, to San Francisco, or by preference both". You call this what, sweet?? Really.
For your information, I am a person who chooses a totally vegan diet. No I do not eat ANY animal products or byproducts whatsoever. I eat a totally raw diet, no processed food at all and every blood test I have had (tests that I CHOOSE to have because my research did uncover that vegans suffer certain deficiencies), HAS BEEN PERFECT. I'm done, I find you rude and condescending and it's a shame because it is clear you may have had knowledge I could have benefited from, but your method of getting it across is abominable. I'm quite happy to leave it there. Thank you

@Shannon, Before you leave it there, Please do me a favor. Go back to the beginning of this comment string an read it. All of it. The first
person that used insulting language was yourself.
In your comments you seem to confuse Expat with Richard who I think was just defending his position in kind.
Two things that I think all real WUvians share are the "Smart-ass" gene and a very strong BS detector!
Also, Before you cite ANYTHING from PETA or GOVEG.COM as fact, Go watch Penn & Teller's show Bullshit. They did an episode on PETA that was really enlightening!

Chicken flavored? Why chicken flavored if it is faux ham?
