Sometime we forgot how much civilization has advanced in 90 years. What was common becomes weird.

Of course, at my age I still recall childhood polio as a danger.

Wow, I coulda been one of these kids back in the day. I had leg braces at night and special shoes when I was little due to being flat footed and pigeon toed. I had to wear those ugly shoes all through grade school, I hatted those things.

My brother and I lucked out but I remember others that didn't. Over here things were even worse.

At my age I remember being in the hospital with polio.
