Current Price Of Political Baseballs

I don't know exactly what this means, but it must mean something. According to the research I conducted on eBay, if you want to buy a baseball signed by a president, or wanna-be president, here's the cheapest you're going to pay for such a collectible:

Barack Obama Signed Baseball. Starting Bid: $400

Mitt Romney Signed Baseball. Buy it now: $159.99

Rick Santorum Signed Baseball. Current Bid: $27.01

Newt Gingrich Signed Baseball. Current Bid: $1.25

Imagine what one that wasn't signed by a jerk would go for. (yes I hate them all)

The Obama ball can be purchased with a stimulus payout if you need one.

The Romney ball can only be thrown as a curve ball. It won't go straight down the middle.

The Santorum ball is the opposite of the Romney ball.

The Gingrich ball is an angry ball. It will hit the batter every time.

@patty: Then it should be at least mildly appealing to see that the ball signed by Gingrich is worth less than half what a blank ball, off the shelf of a sporting goods store would cost.

Am I the only one laughing that two of the balls are signed such that they can't be displayed without also showing the prominent stamp showing that they were made in China? Wouldn't it make sense to find an American made ball or sign the other side?

Since he was missing from the list, i had to look Ron Paul's signed ball is $200 on eBay.

Jason -- I found a cheaper Ron Paul ball for $149. But even so, he's evidently in much greater demand than Santorum and Gingrich are.

It is interesting, Alex. I wonder if it will be as true an indicator as the Halloween mask test. IIRC, the candidate whose likeness is most used by tricker treaters wins the election.

Well, 3 of the 4 are 'righties' and have been thrown for a lot of change-ups...

I had a friend who had a bumper sticker saying "Newter Gingrich".
