Exit Kits

The Oregon legislature is currently attempting to pass a bill to make the sale of 'do it yourself suicide kits ' illegal. In other news, do it yourself suicide kits are currently sold in Oregon. Well, actually, the kits are being sold mail order from California by a 91 year old lady who refers to them as Exit Kits. Can you say irony?

There's got to be a creepy fictional horror story in this. Like the lady has a deal with the Devil and she gets another month of life for every kit she sells that is used successfully. Something along those lines anyway.

Or it might be that the state just doesn't want someone else to make a profit from death.

"We don't want somebody coming into Oregon making a profit off this kind of thing," Representative Jeff Barker, a Democrat and sponsor of the bill, told Reuters.
