Fancy Feast Recipes for Humans

Another odd cookbook: Cat-food maker Fancy Feast has released a book of recipes for humans. As explained in the book's introduction:

each of the recipes in this cookbook gives a nod to the dishes you'll be serving your cat, yet made for humans. Using palate-pleasing ingredients like chicken, salmon, and whitefish, these dishes complement Fancy Feast's entrée options so you can have what they're having—an elegant and delicious meal.

Apparently anticipating that few people would be willing to buy this cookbook, they've posted it online as a free downoad.

"Cooking for Two--Your Cat & You!" by Brandon Schultz, Skyhorse Pub. (2015) has about two dozen recipes which you can share with your cat. I can see distinct dangers of sharing your plate with a cat (they'll quickly think it's an all-the-time thing and won't understand why you won't share your chocolate cake). Also, I think if you find one they really like, they'll snarf it all down before you're finished eating and demand part of yours.

I always remember what Gallagher said about cats and what you buy them for dinner: "Your cat will stand behind you in the kitchen and look into the cupboard at what you bought for its dinner. What ever you bought the most of, that's what it won't want to eat." When I had a cat, that was the truth!

Perhaps I could use this to learn why my cats turn away from some cat food recipes and snarf down others...hmm...not sure I like this idea.
