There's a current internet meme under the "Who wore it better" theme where people are wearing a cherry blossom article of clothing that seems to be patterned from the Arizona Green Tea can. So yeah, it's a thing.

It's not so much 'to resemble a soda can' as it is 'to be coordinated with the accessories you carry'.
Beautiful.

Less beautiful but more practical is when messy people intentionally wear the same color as the foods they're planning to eat.
