Ah, for the bad old days of non-pre-digested, percolated, Robusta swill. Even a drunk could order it, with one word. Try that at Starbucks today.

I've never had a Starbuck's anything although it is tempting to go in and order a plain coffee.

I wonder if ol' Mississippi John Hurt's song was the inspiration for the name of the late 60's rock group "The Lovin' Spoonful". Their song "Summer in the City" has been an earworm to me lately.

I read somewhere that the Lovin' Spoonful refers to heating heroin in a spoon and injecting it.
