Fowling

A Detroit man has come up with a hybrid sport he hopes folks will enjoy on evenings out. A cross between football and bowling called fowling which seems to be fun looking at the video at the link. The name leaves something to be desired though, any ideas for a catchier one?

This was on the light side of the news, many years ago. Some grocery store employees were fired for turkey bowling. They used a frozen turkey as the ball and soft drink bottles for the pins.

Closer to fowling, I would say?

Sorry, that sport name is already in use:

noun fowling
the hunting, shooting, or trapping of wildfowl.

Anyhow, I don't think it's going to catch on. Too much chance someone/thing can get damaged so there'll be a ordinance against it as soon as some insurance inspector sees it.

Fowling is hunting birds, always has been. Why not turn the game around though and try to kick field goals using a bowling ball?
