Hippie Wisdom from Donald Sutherland and Rod McKuen

Mad Men is over. But you can still savor that era with lots of videos such as these two.

Is that the actress's real voice?

Sutherland was just warming up here for his appearance as Oddball in "Kelly's Heroes". And I never could see the appeal of McKuen. He should have been a candidate for the "Golden Throats" series from Rhino Records.

The actress has that Victoria Jackson kind of voice. It doesn't grate on my ears.

You're right KDP, she does sound like Victoria Jackson. He sounds unnatural, like he's over modulating his voice. Obviously he had not yet perfected his craft.
