Hungry?  Mud Snacks Made Easy

Hungry? Not just a type font, I think this is called pica. But I hope never to be so hungry I eat mud treats.

Even if they are baked, they still don't sound appetizing. But then again, I've been talked into eating doggie treats because they smelled like vanilla. Dog ice-cream tasted just as bad.

Oh, come-on! Every little girl in the world has made mud-pies and suckered some little boy into eating one! It's part of the female training regime prescribed by mothers. The Indians are just centuries ahead of the US.

In the Navy we had a dude in the office that would scarf down anything that came in a Care Package (box of goodies sent by family) regardless of invite or not. So......

I had an aunt chocolate coat some Milk Bones and box them up. He ate them all! Good roughage! Dude was REGULAR, like, you know, forever!

People eat dirt in the US too. I think Georgia, my current residence, is perhaps the most notorious dirt eating state.

Georgia Encyclopedia article on Mud Eating

As a child I think I saw Kaolin; the mud some people eat. In the creek bed walls there was sometimes a stratum of white/grey clay that smelled awful and was denser than the surrounding clay.

The Environmental Protection Agency estimates that children in the United States consume, on average, 200–800 mg of dirt per day.

"Do not eat dirt on purpose"

Spaghetti comes from a bush which is, sometimes, referred to as a tree.
