In the Round Four-Cornered Forest

Pure nightmare fuel for any unsuspecting child.

"The habitants of the Round Four Cornered Forest are a happy bunch of nice, accepting, loving companions: Micker-Macker, Pretty Kitty, Seraphin Horse, Lajos Monster, Aromo, Great Zoard, Sigfrid Bruckner, Elek Mouse, and Dömdödöm."

I can't believe any kid would sit and watch this unless they had an abnormal tolerance for boredom. I love to watch cartoons (I'm not in my second childhood -- as a man I took the option of getting older without ever growing up), but I couldn't stand much more than a minute and a half.

Give me "Qumi Qumi" or "Masha and the Bear" any day!

At least it isn't a barely disguised half hour commercial for a toy, like Transformers or G.I. Joe.

Boring, maybe. Certainly compared to the Fabeltjeskrant of my youth! But nightmare fuel? Nah. No boy who loved Where The Wild Things Are would be scared by this.
