Just Imagine

The uproarious laughter by the human executive at the antics of Tommy Telephone, a plainly impossible vision, proclaims that the fellow is gratefully descending into the dark swamp of insanity due to the high stresses of his job.

'47 was a truly GREAT year but only by less than a week!
BTW, our family has had the same phone number in my home town now for 3 generations with #4 and #5 awaitinging in the wings.

Wow, that was good.
Recently I modified an old phone like this to make it ring on demand as a theater prop. It took a while to figure out how it worked. I can't imagine what it was like for the people who made this film, watching someone assemble this phone and then trying to plan a shooting script.
I didn't count, but I suspect that probably all of the four hundred and something parts were shown individually. Stop motion filming is wearisome work. This is real dedication to the art.
