Kawasaki recently unveiled its new robotic goat at the 2022 International Robot Exhibition in Tokyo. I kept waiting for the thing to move faster than at a snail's pace, and it never did.

The H2 Mach IV was a hard act to follow. I rode one that a co-worker owned and it scared the hell out of me. One could ride this until the battery ran out.

I'm a little unsure about 'why.' Is there a such a shortage of goats that we have to start building them?

It's too big for a goat. Unless it can do goat-like things like climb mountains, they should have left off the horns and called it a horse. I don't think Boston Dynamics has much to fear.
