I had one of these, only it was avocado green!
And never once did I burn the house down. Heck, I never even remember burning myself.

Expat - They still sell these. My daughter got one last year for Christmas.

AGFH - The original ones used a light bulb to do the cooking. I don't think burning yourself would have been an issue anyway.

Yeah, the message is that females are expected to learn to bake. As girls, baked goods will win their dads' hearts. As women, they'll snag a husband.
