Kinetic Sculptures by Reuben Margolin

The music and kinetic sculpture combine to make this an interesting video. Reuben Margolin creates moving sculpture, and this "Magic Carpet" is 25 square meters with more than 50,000 pieces. This sculpture shows three characterisitics of a wave -- Wavelength, Amplitude and Frequesncy.

By looking at the next video, you'll see how the sculpture uses one motor to create the effect, but this time with 612 soda pop bottles.

those pop bottles are clearly chained together. I consider that cheating. I would be much more impressed if they were simply together by cohesion.

The 1st rocket to the moon had an on-board computer of 8k. I've got photos that take up 6 times that amount of space.

I saw him too, the only thing I remember is his saying the only part he found interesting was figuring out the mechanical action required to get the effect he wanted it. After that it was tedious and boring.
