Benedict'll use a step-by-step process to introduce rigor into claims of apparitions and stigmatas because all those spurious, delusional sightings are embarrassing the Church. Bleeding statues, reflections in windows, etc., will be denounced . . unless of course they're determined by this rigorous process to be actual signs from God. Those signs will be approved. One sure sign is the monetary amount that can be gleaned from such occurrences.

Nah, the Pope will just get on the Great White Telephone and check with the Man Upstairs directly.

I wish the catholic church would this much effort into determining whether or not their religion is legit.

What about the Santa Claus outfit the pope is wearing in the second picture? Hell, what about the pope in the first picture? Hell, for that matter, what about all the holy relic crap they have sold for the last 2000 years? They have so much to be embarrassed over!

Selling sacred relics and places in heaven is just a business practice. Pedophile priests...now that is embarassing at the very least.

That's just the thing Kay. The church shouldn't be fleecing people by selling bogus religious crap. They should be in the business of spreading god's love not horse shit. (of course in my opinion the concept of god is horse shit)

if you believe in god and the church then you believe in the power of blessed objects. if it helps you does it really matter if it's god's work or the placebo effect? if a four leaf clover makes you feel lucky so you buy a lotto ticket and it happens to be a winner who or what is responsible for that? chance and the power of the human mind or good luck and the power of god it depends on your point of view.

My reputation precedes me.

vegas_girl - Before enjoying your sacred chip, you may want to have your local priest bless some French Onion dip. It'll be a meal fit for a martyr.

The Pope must have seen "Leverage" a couple of weeks ago.
