I remember seeing the comic strip with this song in my long-gone youth. But it wasn't in "Lil' Abner" where the Dogpatchers lived but in the Capps' other strip, "Long Sam." I can remember details of the story better than I remember the items on today's grocery list but I'll spare infecting you with them.
