["In America, a person is presumed innocent until the mug shot is released"]
It couldn't be that Lori Smith of Brooksville, Fla., would be guilty of domestic battery because, c'mon, men need hugs! WTSP-TV (St. Petersburg)

Holy crap! Just in time, I was in need of a purge! RALPH!!!

Guilty of being uglier than Big Gary's splitting headache photo.

Definition of: Battery is a term used by the common law jurisdictions, which involves an injury or other contact upon the person of another in a manner likely to cause bodily harm.

Normally I'd have to say "Not Guilty" because a hug does no harm but after seeing the mug shot..... AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

"a hug does no harm" ~ I must disagree on this. If I saw Lori coming at me with arms outstretched and intensions of hugging, I'm pretty sure my bodily harm might be an instant coronary!

Oh wait, he's her live-in boyfriend & I assume her lover as well....seriously? Must see his pic in order to make a fair & impartial determination of guilt.

HEY NOW BE NICE!!! I think Domestic battery is quite a bit excessive. So what if she looks like she fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down. We are only talking about a hug. I mean Honestly, even if she looks like she was a pinata being hit with 15 ugly sticks from mexicans at a birthday party. She could be a model you never know, maybe she models for the "BEFORE" picture for Proactive skin care. I mean cut this lady some slack all she wanted to do was give hug. **NOT GUILTY**

I think they are both guilty of wasting the police officer's time. They had to drive right by Krispy Kreme when the Hot Doughnuts Now sign was on and by the time they had the violent hugger under control, the doughnuts were cold. For shame.

Not guilty. If she were found guilty of Hugging While Ugly, that would set a precedent that would not bode well for me.
