Luxury or Novelty?

Most days I'd pay someone not to look under my sofa. That said, at http://www.opulentitems.com/unique-gift-idea.html
or Opulent Items, for only $200 you can have an led light that changes colors for under your sofa. This site, touted as 'home of unusual luxury', has many such essential items. For $40 an i-pod docking station/toilet paper dispenser so you can take care of business without missing a minute of your playlist. Guys, how about a voice controlled tv remote? If you misplace it just yell and the channel will still change. Perfect because when you lose the remote you yell anyway, so now it will be productive! On the less expensive end of the scale, we have a color changing led light that comes on when you run the faucet for just $15. For that unrepentant, well to do smoker there is the lovely (at least before it is used) diamond ashtray. This falls at the upper end of the price range at $7,250. Wow, what a steal!
Peruse at your leisure and see how a fool and his money are parted.

Seems to me, Patty, that the VC Remote would be the cause of great damage. Imagine:
There's 10sec on the clock and we're down by 4 points!
The ball is caught on the 10 yard line by Whoozits.
He's got good blockers and takes off like a rocket.
He's hit at the 50 but breaks loose.
At the 30 he's all alone with 2 guys hot on his tail.
The yelling starts to get serious here so the remote changes the channel
Best Buy's stock goes up another 25points!

a...jump higher...depressing dude, and this site is not really a good forum for your concerns.

JH, the "worse case" I've ever seen was back in the 70s in southern Turkey. I didn't loose any sleep over it then and I still don't today.

my favorite is the 'naturally deceased' coyote fur hammock!!!
does PETA approve?

dear jump higher,

yes, absolutely. not only would I be able to stay in the hotel, I'd throw quarters from my balcony to watch the fights for entertainment.

and don't assume "all that we take for granted" is taken for granted by everyone.
