Manhog appears in Jim Woodring's comics and graphic novels. Looks like the same person/creature. I'll see if I can find a reference.

Doctor Didj--I love Woodring's comics and Manhog. Glad to know you're a fan too! But I'm a little dubious that our guy here derives from Woodring's brain and pen. He's usually pretty upfront about posting his work online with a clear acknowledgment of its creator.
