True enough, crc. I have one for use in my garage. The Air Force probably spent a million each at the time.

Look down further on the page and check out the "world's largest LCD." Today you can buy 70 inch diagonal televisions using the same technology. Ain't technology grand?

The next gadget in the article is a 'magnetic isolation box' (looks like an oversized refrigerator without shelves) and appears to have the same purpose as Fallout 4's "Pulowski Preservation Shelter" http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Pulowski_Preservation_shelter

And a couple of pages down, there's a device to harness wave power using floating barrels... and they're still working on that. They work, but they're still not efficient enough for large-scale deployment.
