Way, way off base.

I imagined it might be one of those packages to be launched into space for experiments in micro-gravity. The long grey cylinder in front looked like a motor, the squat silver cylinder behind it a transmission, and I pictured the colored tanks spinning. A long time ago, I read an article about how centrifuging things in the absence of gravity would yield purer fractions and even allow the formation of molecules which were difficult/impossible to synthesize on Earth (don't ask me how, I confess I never understood the concept).
