My guess was an ad for toothpaste. Although I was wrong, after they smoke enough cigarettes, they're going to need something to get their teeth looking that white again.

Maybe it's code: a boring cigarette is just tobacco; non-boring is Mary Jane. That would explain their huge grins, too.
