Answer:

They're some of the personal effects left behind in the palace of King Farouk following his flight from Egypt after a military revolution in 1952.

Wow! No clue, but the name triggered the memory of a song parody done by Stan Freeburg. He had parodied the style of a certain singer with the song "C'est Si Bon", and at the end of it he's congratulating himself and saying how he'll be rewarded. One of the awards was "...an autographed picture of King Farouk!". This is list is now the second thing I know about the monarch.
