I could understand naming someone Zepplin if the family name were Burns, or Rocket if the surname were Redglare. Rosetta must have started in the Stone family. There was a girl in my high school named Twinkle Starr.

Some of these are not so unusual. Cookie used to be a fairly common nickname (e.g. Dagwood and Blondie's daughter). Peaches as in Peaches and Herb (Peaches was the nickname of the original Peaches -- there have been seven of them). Red is a common nickname. Rosetta as in Sister Rosetta Tharpe. Napoleon as in Napoleon Solo. Hardy Hendren is a famous surgeon in Boston who was called "Hardly Human" because of his ability to perform extreme surgeries such as separating conjoined twins.

I pity the poor girls who were named Zeppelin, especially if they become fat in the future.

My guess before going to the answer page was names given to brandy. It is the Christmas season.

I thought they were secret service codenames for politicians.

ges: and Bran is a normal Gaelic name, though I have no idea how common it is.

Sequoia, though, is a man's name, and was so before they named the trees after him.
