The NoPhone

The NoPhone is a black piece of plastic shaped like an iPhone. It's designed to act as a "technology-free alternative" for those suffering from "phone addiction."

According to the NoPhone's kickstarter page, "the NoPhone acts as a surrogate to any smart mobile device, enabling you to always have a rectangle of smooth, cold plastic to clutch without forgoing any potential engagement with your direct environment."

They're trying to raise $30,000 to produce these things, and are currently at $1,763.

Do they offer an insurance plan in case you lose it?

I think they'd get more action if they called it a Pet Phone.

The rocks over here are so old they've all got All-Timers.

I once suggested that a friend of mine who owned a tourist trap shop that he should sell 'Ancient Greek Rocks'. He passed.

Hey Expat, I'll trade you some 3.96 billion year old Pre-cambrian Canadian shield rock for an equal weight of the chocolate you bragged about. This rock has a few flakes of gold so you get the best of the deal.

I need a snail mail address. Do you know how to find me?
Posted by Expat47 in Athens, Greece on 09/16/14 at 12:30 AM
Actually, Expat, I could find you easily. I have read most of the Agatha Christie novels. I am tempted to post my snail mail address just to see if someone sends me chocolate.

If you'll send me an e-mail I'll send you some 70% chocolate.

$1,763 EACH?!
For $499.98 I can get 2 iPhone 5s and talk to myself. I will hear myself clearly even without even turning them on.

Thanks BD, but I will not be hassling Expat.

Geesh BMN, where's the fun in that?!?

No hassle BMN, it's about that time of year when I do this anyhow. Come find me.

tadchem, read carefully. That's how much they had raised when this was posted. It's gone up since then. If you pledge $12 (and they raise enough money), you'll get one.
