'Scratch', of course is money but they're using "boodle" in some way I don't recognize. One dictionary says it's graft money, ill gotten gains.

That's a pretty swinging song, particularly for a band led by an accordionist. It seems that Ernie Felice was a friend of Les Paul, and even did a duet with Mary Ford. He also made a record with Benny Goodman.
