What as Eastern Time got to do with the story?

The article says nothing about the height of the attackers, although that seems like relevant info to me.

Expat, you're right, it's totally irrelevant. Unless the studio was doing a bed count at the time, but then I'd have thought Pacific time would have been better. Probably just editorial policy to convert all foreign times to Eastern. Although how GMT is foreign rather escapes me, given how much tech stuff uses it.
