Alex has begun a "weird bathing suit" meme, with his WOODEN BATHING SUITS post. I fear I shall have to see him his wood and raise him some plastic.

If those were around today they'd be covering up more "plastic" than they'd be made from.

@Paul: why would you want to see Alex's wood?

I hope you are grateful, Expat, for me setting you up deliberately with the line!

At my age you have to take what you get given and be thankful for good friends.

Back in 1966 I could still remember what to do with women like these.

Dear Expat47,

Why do you think the mothership is coming in 5 days?

@Guy E: The Mayan calendar ends on the 21st. That's the day the mother ship is returning to take us all away before the Earth blows up.

(Now that I've had a night to come up with it....)

The last time I raised plastic was before leisure suits were banned.

The swim suits I remember most from the 60's were the topless ones; they never really caught on in the U.S. but were somewhat popular in Europe. I believe they were also called monokinis.

Monokini is right. "Were" is not. "Are" is more like it.
