Was that July 10, 1923? If so, stuffs gone bad by now.

It's hard to read that blurry scan, but it was actually July 18-23, from the year 1949.

But the meat's still bad.

potted meat, do you get high if you eat it? :cheese:

My Dad had it so much in the South Pacific in WWII, that he never ate Spam, again. He wouldn't even look at it.

well you know, it is much easier to eat spam if you don't look at it!
my mom was that way about eggs, she grew up in the depression and they had chickens and ate ALOT of eggs. she wanted nothing to do with them.

I like Spam, myself, the trademarked kind, especially fried. The generic potted meat cans at the dollar store i can do without. Spam and eggs are great, and i like a fried Spam, egg and white american cheese sandwich, with mayo and pepper. Hmm, maybe i'll just go make one. I could handle Hawaii big time.

My collection of extruded meat products (with one major exception).

Note the two packages just below the Hello Kitty can at the top (no, it's just a candy box). They are baby food from Italy.
Mmmmm-Pureed Pony and Blended Bunny!

On the left can be seen the edge of my large collection of other extruded food- pasta in shapes.

A dubious distinction, perhaps, but thanks, Expat. And sweetie Patty. I have also mastered the art of naked bacon-frying, but that's another category. Had no Spam in cupboard, last night - Doritos won out. Cool collection, Stan.

naked bacon frying, that could become a spectator sport! :wow:
Posted by Patty in Ohio, USA on 07/26/10 at 06:34 PM
I wouldn't touch that with a ten foot, nevermind 😝
Posted by done on 07/26/10 at 09:34 PM
Oh, Vienna sausage! :cheese:
Posted by done on 07/26/10 at 09:35 PM
a ten foot vienna sausage, that would definitely belong in stan's collection!

and this would be after the airborne ebola strike? Wait, what grows on potted meat if the can busts open and rots, beside salmonella? Anything that can be weaponized?
