When Foxx landed his role on "Sanford and Son" I kept expecting him to launch into the story about "The Preacher's Ass" which had nothing to do with any donkey.

@KDP: My folks had a Red Foxx box set of some 12 of his records on red wax. Unfortunately, they melted in a house fire. I listened to them, didn't understand much.
