Shampooed Hair Art

Photographer Cheuk Lun Lo has drawn inspiration from shampoo, creating a photo series in which he focuses on heads of hair all lathered up and twisted into various shapes. More info at Designboom.

Yea, but if Joe Sykspac from 102 Main St. would have posted something like this he'd've been, at best, laughed at.

So, is it art that makes the artist or are we supposed to believe that the artist makes the art.

Let's see… visually interesting in a 'natural fractal' way, subject not immediately obvious thus promoting closer inspection and analysis, altered perspective on common phenomenon, does not rely on 'shock' value to provoke emotional reaction…

Sure, it passes the art test easily.

Thanks for a memory jolt. When I was little, my 14 years older sister used to give me my bath and shampoo my hair and shape it into all sorts of spikes, horns, and twists. Years later, I used to do the same for my nieces. Hadn't thought of that in years.
