Starbucks Limited Edition Card

It's a gift card that costs $450, but it only gets you $400 worth of store credit. The extra $50 pays for the card itself, which comes in a "stunning rose gold hue."

But it's too late to get one, because they went on sale on Dec. 6 and sold out in minutes. [bitterwallet.com]

I've never once gone into a Starbucks. Maybe if they had a liquor based coffee I would consider it.

There is an old saying:
A fool and his money are soon parted.

I've never purchased anything from Starbucks. The thought of forking over three dollars for a cup of coffee that required 2 cents of coffee beans and a one cent paper cup to produce just doesn't appeal to me.

A fool, indeed...

BD, what you want an Irish coffee, available at almost any tavern (not Starbucks!) for about the price of a venti latté. Spider Robinson called it the perfect beverage.

I have had Starbucks coffee from time to time, but not often. McDonalds has a good cup of coffee for a lot less.

The Shell gas station on my way to work has free 32oz coffees with various creamers including chocolate and also lattes/hot chocolate if you buy 8 gallons or more.

It's nice and fresh even at 4am. You do have to serve yourself but you can mix and match whatever you want.

Nothing like a freebie since you gotta fuel up anyway. I'm sure it's to just pull you into the mini-mart to buy other things but it's still nice.

@BMN: My thought, exactly!

@Patty: $1.58 for a large, bottomless cuppa Joe, WiFi, and a seat.

@BD: I've spent $$$$$$$$$ at Starbucks on a SERIOUS NEED FOR CAFFEINE.

Years ago the wife and I were stuck in a Mall awaiting the starting bell. The only place open was a Starbuck's island. There were only 3 three people even remotely close to this island, my wife, me, and the coffee pourer. I ordered 2 coffees and then was asked what names she should put on the order. I told her that if I had to give my name in order to buy a cup of coffee I'd pass. Dho!

There's a starbucker born every minute! :lol: :coolsmile:
To be fair, they do make good coffee. I just think they charge too much for it.

I wish the kind of people who buy this everything they can get from Starbucks. That will be punishment enough.
