If it tastes like the Japanese version (Umeboshi), No thanks! :sick:
Although the dried powdered form pressed into pellets can be swallowed like a pill and works almost as well as Zantac or Tagamet for acid reflux symptoms! :coolsmile:

Thanks for that link, Tyrusguy. I seem to recall I used umeboshi once in an Asian recipe. Not too bad when mixed into other flavors.

They taste like the devil crapped in your mouth but youll find these or something similar in nearly every corner store in southern California.

Probably similar to li hing mui. I like them, but hubby nearly heaved the one and only time he tasted one. Not for people who don't like strong flavors. They feel good when you have a sore throat --- all that salt, I guess.

I grew up in So. Cal. Salted Plums are ok. I do like the ones with Chili but I don't understand flavoring with other fruit. Makes no sense.
